Prayer Focus for America

There is a growing sense across the United State that this is a season of great change and transformation for our people. Currently, there is much division over issues such as the war in Iraq & Afghanistan, national security and our foreign policy, our economy, health care, immigration, poverty and justice, racial reconciliation, religious liberties, rebuilding the family, the environment and multiple social issues including the value of life, rights of homosexuals, and euthanasia. There are even significant divisions within several mainline Protestant denominations over theological issues. Each of these issues needs our concerted on-going prayer throughout the year.

Our country is severely divided regarding the national leaders at the current time. May God bring forth His godly chosen ones! This is a “kairos” time (opportune time, set time, appointed time, due time, definitive time, seasonable time, proper time for action.) for our nation to return to its godly roots. We are at the “turning-point” hour similar to the providential workings of God in the Book of Esther. We must make the right decisions and once again become united as “one nation under God” and stand in agreement, through prayer, “Your kingdom come Your will be done....”

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Tim 2:1-2

• Pray that God will raise up godly leaders who will stand fearlessly before America and the nations with the revelation and wisdom of God's heart and mind for leading this great nation back to its godly roots and its intended influence on the nations.
  
  … the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation…the eyes of your heart may be enlightened… Eph 1:17-23
  
  The Spirit of the Lord will rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord, and he will delight in the fear of the Lord… Isa 11:2-5
  
  
• Pray that God’s purposes for the United States will come forth and that we will corporately align with His will.
  
  Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:10
  
  
• Pray that the Christians of America will humble themselves, unify in prayer with repentance, and seek God’s face until the breakthrough comes bringing national transformation.
  
  …if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 2 Chron 7:14-16
  
  
• Let us begin to decree and prophesy the Lord’s heart for new beginnings, new wine skins, new anointings, new breakthroughs, and new life be poured out upon America and her stately host people. Decree that America will once again be a nation that demonstrates, “In God we trust.”
  
  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jer 29:11-13
  
  
• Pray for our military leaders and troops who are serving our country and laying down their lives. Pray for their spiritual strength, protection, courage, wisdom and alertness. Pray Psalms 91 for those who trust the Lord; and those who do not know the Lord will call upon Him and be saved. (Rom 10:5-13)
  
  
• Pray that the Lord will bring healing and deliverance to the church so it can bring healing and direction to America. Pray that the Church in America will arise to its full call and responsibility before God. Pray that religious hypocrisy, immorality, materialism, fear, guilt and manipulation will all be removed from the Church and replaced with integrity and purity so that the Bride of Christ will manifest the glory and image of Christ.
  
  No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved. Matt 9:16-17

Prayer Focus for Native Americans Ask our Father to bring a corporate vision to the Native People of America including revelation of their God given destiny and call. We must bathe their callings and destiny in prayer with fasting, for it is the hour for them to arise and possess the fullness of their inheritance and destiny in Christ Jesus! …that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Eph 1:17-21 Pray that a national Letter of Repentance from the Christians in the USA be written, embraced and brought before all the native peoples throughout the nation. Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of My people… Isa 10:1-2

• Pray for godly leaders, to unite ushering in decrees of freedom with acts of repentance, reconciliation, and restitution for “such a time as this.” Pray that the favor of God be released upon these leaders in all spheres of society.
  
  No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord. Isa 54:17
  
  
• Pray that the American people, the states, and the US government will bring forth the national apology that has been approved to all the Native Americans by our President and national leaders.
  
  Let us pray together for true reconciliation and restitution before our Creator and for the healing of our nation/land.
  
  If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chron 7:14
  
  
• May God's wisdom be released to the leaders involved regarding appropriate national resolutions and policies. Pray for the power of the resurrection to flow bringing healing and wholeness through these efforts.
  
  Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the Lord with reverent fear… Psalm 2:10-11
  
  
• Pray that heart of the Native People will be prepared to embrace the Father's love and salvation through Jesus Christ.
  
  ...that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph 3:17-19
  
  
• Pray the Native Americans be loosed from the blinding of the enemy and the strongholds in the mind that have been set in motion through the trauma, neglect, rejection, and wrongs committed against them.
  
  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ… 2 Cor 10:4-5
  
  
• Ask the Lord to pave the way for significant ministry opportunities on and off the reservations to bring further restoration and hope to the host people of America.
  
  For a great and effective door has opened to me… 1 Cor 16:9

Prayer Focus for Israel, the Jewish People & the Nations Let us pray with the heart of Paul the Apostle for the Jewish people. I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Rom 9:1-5

• Pray for the removal of the “stumbling stone of the Law” and the blinding upon those who have not received the revelation that Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah.
  
  ...Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. As it is written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Rom 9:31-33
  
  
• Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and that Jerusalem will become the "praise of the earth."
  
  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Ps 122:6
  
  
• Pray for God to bless and strengthen the watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem and the prayer ministries in Israel and the nations.
  
  I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. Isa 62:1-7
  
  
• Pray for the salvation of the Jewish people for such a time as this!
  
  For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. Rom 11:15-16
  
  
• Pray for Israel's protection, deliverance from her enemies and the countering of man’s plans and decrees to destroy Israel & the Jewish people.
  
  See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me" declares the Lord. Isa 54:16-17
  
  Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.19The Lord will answer: and say to His people, "Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. Joel 2:18-19
  
  So Esther arose and stood before the king, and said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters [decree] devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to annihilate the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces. For how can I endure to see the evil that will come to my people? Or how can I endure to see the destruction of my countrymen? Est 8:4-6
  
  
• Pray for political leaders in Israel to be raised up who will govern with godly wisdom and for the military leaders to discern wisely as they defend their country.
  
  Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Dan 2:20-21
  
  
• Pray for God’s resolution and strategy to unfold between Israel and the Palestine people. Ask for healing of the people with social justice established by godly decisions.
  
  Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:10
  
  
• Pray that the Lord will open the doors of evangelism in the Muslim world and that that their eyes would be open to the fatalism and deception of Islam.
  
  …praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Eph 6:8
  
  
• Pray for the Nations to submit to God's commands and precepts with the awareness that they will one day enter into His judgment and be held accountable for their treatment of God's inheritance, my people Israel; that they will be accountable for the treatment of their perceived “weaker” national tribes and specific people groups, etc.
  
  …I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel...for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision…Joel 3:1-21
