Additional Expenses

Students should consider expenses above and beyond tuition when budgeting for educational costs.

  1. Required books for each course (average cost is $100-$150 per course). Required books may also be checked out from the School library. However, a mailing fee will be charged based on the type of delivery preferred by the student. Students must return all books by the required date at their own expense.
  2. Transportation to and from the school for each on-site course.
  3. Housing and meals during each on-site course (host homes are often available by pre-arrangement although meals may not be provided depending on the host). Lunches and snacks are provided at no cost for students on class days.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

Churches
The churches represented by pastors attending IGSM should realize that training received at the school directly benefits the life and growth of their church. Therefore churches should be encouraged to invest in the ongoing training of their pastors by providing financial assistance according to their ability. Many churches have an education or training allowance for pastors.

Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for new students who have been approved for admission as well as existing students who are in good standing. The student may request a scholarship by submitting a Scholarship Request Form to IGSM to be considered for the current academic year. Students desiring scholarships beyond that year must reapply each academic year. The amount of the scholarship cannot exceed 50% of tuition costs and will apply toward tuition costs only. Applications must be received by Dec. 1 for the following year. All scholarships are evaluated by the Executive Staff and reviewed by the Academic Affairs Committee to insure fairness and objectivity regarding all applications.

  2. Students who do not notify IGSM of withdrawal at least two weeks prior to the first day of the on-site or Internet portion of the course will forfeit their deposit.
  3. Students who attend the on-site or Internet portion of a course but fail to complete the required course project will forfeit all tuition and deposits for the course.
